New York, USA – Travel has been a bit of a whirlwind lately. We’ve arrived in the new year and many of us survived the holiday travel season by the skin of our teeth. Even with pandemic restrictions being lifted across the globe, several challenges continue to test travelers’ resolve including inflation, natural disasters, war, and more.
We now know that Travelers won’t stop. And they won’t quit. Travelers are determined to see the world and celebrate loved ones in person, now more than ever..
The Passport Hustle’s products elevate travel fashion and bring the adage “Black History is More Than a Month” into living color. That starts with your audiences learning about the new travel accessories that can enhance their travel experience. Thanks to The Passport Hustle, we can all say NO to boring luggage and travel essentials.
The Passport Hustle’s founder Teya “D-Globetrotter” Dalton is a frequent traveler who often shares stories of her journey to visit 40 countries before age 40. She has traveled to and eaten in 43 countries across 6 continents and sends travelers around the world as a travel advisor and coach.
Teya is an immersive traveler who lights up when engaging in the stories of the people. “Travel can enlighten you with just a glimpse into how locals live, use traditions to keep their culture alive, and erect the monuments we’re in awe of.”
Lucky for us, Teya D-Globetrotter curates one of the best travel accessory stores on the market, showcasing culture inspired by international travelers and communities connected through the African Diaspora.
Travelers often experience color & culture through amazing landscapes, architecture, textiles, food, and personal interactions. Most globetrotters will come across several instances of “black cultures” being co-opted by and for the profit of people in other communities. We seldom see products being created by us, for us, and / or to celebrate us.
The Passport Hustle offers BIPOC travelers and allies a unique opportunity to embrace the colors of the cultures that excite and inspire us. Now travelers can show off, show out, and magnify their unique self-expression. There’s no reason boring luggage options should thwart a traveler’s self-expression when The Passport Hustle offers a range of exotic travel essentials and accessories. Some items include Luggage Covers, memory foam Neck Pillows, Passport Wallets, Organizing Pouches, Carry- on Electronics, and Travel Sets.
The Passport Hustle recently launched its “Mud Cloth in Color” collection of travel products that are sure to agitate joy and fashion senses for all international travelers. This collection is inspired by hand-drawn mud cloths that are usually in earth tones. Marrying the mud cloth design element with vibrant colors gives travelers a way to keep ancestral cultures alive while celebrating their own vibrancy!

]]>I started this business 2 years after I made the first prototype. I questioned and doubted my self. I allowed fear, confusion and indecisiveness to take the lead during those 2 years.
"It always seems impossible until it's done" Nelson Mandela
I had to remind myself that as a coach, I would coach others through similar challenges. That's when I realized that I've watched several IG channels and 2 cousins launch product based businesses.
This was possible. I decided to take 2 more months to gather the advice I'd been
given over the years an analyze it.
I attended fabric expos, began reaching out to
seamstresses and manufacturers. I researched print on demand companies and watched every YouTube video I thought was helpful in terms of marketing, and operations. I enrolled in many advertising courses and enrolled in a course from someone who has done this successfully, DJ Miami Michael Baptiste him self.
We launched September 16th, 2020 and in December 2022 we saw our luggage covers on the walk way for the 1st time, at the African Restaurant Week Holiday Festival!
So now that I know it is possible, I think we'll take this to the next level and work our way into a few stores. So tell me, is there anything that you've been doubting is possible and your itching to take it on or to the next level?

Random drawings can be good news for everyone involved.
Just as the image says, we held a drawing for anyone who joined our VIP Text club. All you had to do was text the word Passport to 844-237-2374. Due to some tecnical difficulties we did not have our monitor on on Saturday but we wore shirts to spread the msg! And ultimately we had 82 entries:
And because we're all winners We have an opportunity for you to come on our India Take Over as well.
For every other attendee, you are invited to take over India with us!! We are extending the registration opportunity until 12 noon Friday November 25, and you can register here: bit.ly/IndiaTakeOver

I can also let you in a little secret. We are adding all the luggage covers to the $20 for 24 hours starting on Friday 12:00 AM
But don't wait, other items may sell out before then.

Right out of the door I'll say it. As travel lovers and passport stamp collectors, you get to see color every where you go unless you are color blind. So why on earth would you choose to Not See Color?
Its a privilege to see colors that occur naturally in nature, intentionally in designs and biologically on various levels of melanated skin tones. Color inspires me and informs the rich experiences I enjoy as I travel the world. Is that not true for you? Yes is my best guess. Again, unless you are color blind.
See the hues of chocolate within my family, friends and neighbors. From those deeper cocoa hues that cannot be mistaken for anything other than black to the hues resembling white chocolate where you might even see a vein or two. See the beauty and intricate differences in each of us. Take a deep breath. Swallow the richness and exhale the rest. Seeing our colors is the tip of the iceberg.
Now that you see our multitude of colors you can begin to explore our cultures and our humanity! And that is why we started The Passport Hustle.
As a traveler I realized that the influence of black cultures can be found all over the place, but far fewer things were being produced to celebrate us and for us to celebrate ourselves with joy and vibrancy.
Similar to the natural hair and the beard gang movement, travel accessories can be an opportunity for self expression. So, we picked up the torch!
All of our design are inspired by creativity from the African Diaspora that has reached into the corners of the world. Our designs have been added to many travel accessories that will inspire you as well as your family and friends to ask you questions when they see it. And yes new friends count. Don't listen to Champaign Poppy.
Can you guess the location that these organizing pouches and mask depicts? Yes, yes y'all, that is Oia. Oia is a small village in the South Aegean on the islands of Thira (or more commonly known as the island of Santorini). Luxury travelers stay in the heart of Oia and you will see beautifully melanated women taking pictures in flying dresses all over social media. Keep in mind, Santorini has beautiful beaches of various colored sand and textures all around the island. So if you are on a more frugal budget, pick another town on the island and head to Oia by bus or car for a day trip.
This Travel Neck Pillow depicts an African fabric know as Ankara. Ankara as it is called in West Africa, and 'Kitenge’ in East Africa is often referred to as African wax fabric, Holland wax, or Dutch wax. The fabric is known for its colorful and vibrant patterns, and it has been said that each design shares the culture, traditions, and stories of tribes throughout the African continent.
These elaborately designed fabrics are used to make clothing for men, women and children which are quite modest. But lately the designs have found their way into high fashion magazines, on runways, as swim suits and and accessories including bags and household items. We've chosen to add a few select designs to Travel Accessories like the neck pillow shown above.
The mandala (circular packs of symbolism) patterns are very popular. You'll find plenty color combination with intricate details We've chosen this vibrant orange and refer to it as our Orange Circle of Life.
The blue and yellow hues on this phone case are a depiction of Kente cloth. Kente cloth is almost always handwoven so we gave this case the look of real cloth. [Phone cases have been discontinued until we can provide a better balance of design and protection. This design can be found on other products as well]
Because Kente cloth is all hand woven, it is not a cheap fabric. It is reserved for special events and celebrations of life and often passed down from generation to generation. As of lately you can find depictions of Kente cloth in various colors being used to make bathing suits, as shown by Kardi B during her visit to Ghana in 2019.
We hope this gave you some insight into the inspiration for our designs. And we hope this helps you out when they ask you questions about your new Travel Accessories!
to visit 40 countries by the age of 40. I defined visit as leaving the port of entry into said country and enjoying at least 1 meal, because I had to create a base denominator for my country counting and love of food.
I carried my goal with happiness and high self esteem. So much happiness that happy with my goal and personal mission that I mentioned it to almost everyone I talked to in my 20's and 30's. I opened my proverbial arms and heart to the world, and that is when I felt The Pinch to my ego.
I met 2 separate people who had already been to over 100 countries... And that little annoying voice in my head chimed in
It took me a few heart beats before I reminded myself of a few things.
[... anymore]. So I took inventory. At that moment I had passport stamps from 28 countries, and stories about each one! At that moment I realized that if I compare myself to anyone else on this highspeed traveling highway that all my travels would be about comparisons and not the good times. So I slowly un-balled my brain as if it were a closed fist and I let those threats of comparison go.
Here's how conversations about travel started to go on random days in my life:
Me. Where are you going next?
Friend. We found a flight to Athens for $210 round trip...
Me.
Friend. Yeap...non-stop...
Me. Ok, I'm in... But wait, I've been to Greece. Twice.
Friend. ...and we're going to Santorini
My body starts moving without permission but I've learned to live with these involuntary celebrations... lol
Me. [Dancing to a Salt-N-Pepa song in my head: Ex Press Your Self... Go on and work that body...] Awe-yeah, Awe-yeah.
Friend. [Interrupts my dance break] If you want to go, I have the site open. These dates won't last long.at this price.
Me. [I snap out of the dance break and pull out my credit card] YES! I'll just add another leg to my trip...
So I got:
Life gives us opportunities to enjoy the moment we are in while we are there. We can make up a LOT of reasons not to enjoy the moment including comparing ourselves or experiences to others. And since suffering is optional in most circumstances, I choose to enjoy my entire journey. Not just the destination, or the result of going after my goals. But the entire journey.
And I keep in mind that no passport hustle needs to look like or be compared to another. Just let the rhythm of inspiration move you towards new heights.

]]>Yes I said it. Jamaica is not the only flag that does not use red, white or blue. Sri Lanka is also in this club. Sri Lanka is a small Island Country off the southeast coast of India. Their flag colors are Gold, Maroon, Green and Saffron. No, Maroon is not red. Argue with ya momma on that one.
As an avid traveler it is important that we get these details right. Its also important that we give Jamaica their due. Happy Independence day to all my Jamaican Brothers and Sisters.
